Our client a successful law firm with offices throughout Yorkshire offer an excellent working environment, superb ongoing development and a range of excellent benefits.  They are looking to recruit a Business Development & Marketing Executive, offering an excellent opportunity for you if you have experience within a similar Marketing or Business Development role.

This is a strategic role in which you will work with a Consultant within the business and with the Marketing Director to focus on the BD and Marketing strategy throughout the business.   You will also have a confident approach to work and have the adaptability to both implement initiative and creativity in your work.  We are looking for related experience gained possibly within Law or within Financial Services or similar.    The ability to create and maintain strong professional relationships across all levels of the business is key. You will be working within a small team so there is real opportunity to stand out and develop within the wider business.

What will be involved:

  • Working closely to support the Marketing Manager and the Business Development Consultant, to ensure that the operational requirements of strategic BD initiatives, projects etc are delivered in a timely and accurate way
  • Working with Lawyers and Partners internally to communicate on both Marketing and Business Development plans and strategies  to meet the firm’s commercial objectives.
  • Supporting teams across the firm to build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients (client relationship management/CRM system management).
  • Working on varying Marketing initiatives to external communication with a review to maximising new revenue streams from existing clients
  • Ensure a co-ordinated approach to following-up new business opportunities and setting-up meetings with prospects.
  • Assisting in the preparation of presentations and pitches
  • Supporting the wider marketing team with general marketing administration, such as the creation and distribution of eshots, social media posts, collateral and PR.
  • Working with the Marketing and Events Executive to assist with the organisation and delivery of all events.
  • Assist with keeping the business website up to date with new content, functionality, and ideas.

What we are looking for:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in the legal or wider professional services sector would be preferred, working within a similar Marketing or Business Development led role
  • A proactive employee with proven organisational skills and preferably Project Management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to build relationships with ease and also influence Lawyers and Partners
  • An agile and adaptable attitude
  • Graduate calibre or with the equivalent years’ work experience
  • 1st class organisational skills with the ability to see a project through from start to completion
  • IT skills, in particular experience of using Microsoft Office
  • Experience of Content Management Systems and CRM systems is desirable
