As the Commercial Analyst you will join a small but dedicated Net Revenue team within the wider Category and Insight department. You will conduct data analysis across all channels, products, and promotions, making recommendations for decision making in the wider business.
For this role, we are open to Graduate candidates with a relevant degree and ideally some work experience within a similar data-led role from e.g. an internship or placement. A skilled, articulate and confident communicator with excellent data and analysis skills and with advanced knowledge of Excel is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Commercial Analyst:
- Working closely with the Net Revenue, Category and Insights teams.
- Provide detailed analysis of product and category performance against Net Revenue targets.
- Monitor promotional performance and provide post-promotional analysis.
- Reviewing consumer insights and competitor trends.
- Working cross-functionally to communicate insights to colleagues, attending meetings internally to present insights, findings, analysis, and present ideas. It is key you can communicate data in a clear and comprehensive manner for those who are not ‘data experts’ to understand.
- Maintain systems and Net Revenue data sources.
The right candidate will have the following:
- We are open to Graduates or junior level candidates with related qualifications, ideally with some exposure to a similar role whether that be an internship, placement, work experience etc.
- Excellent communication skills, being able to present and explain data in a confident, clear, simple and effective way
- Advanced use of data analysis and visualisation tools including advanced Excel (essential – VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables) or Power BI (not essential).
- A tenacious and proactive approach to your work.
