Our client is a Leeds-based market leader within the FMCG arena and in our opinion, is one of the leading Employers in West Yorkshire who is experiencing strong and strategic growth.  They are looking to recruit an Assistant Brand Manager on a 6-month FTC, to work on a key brand for the business, providing support within all areas of effective campaign management and Marketing for new product development.

Daily duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Marketing Brand Manager will include the following:

  • Working within the Brand Management team to really gain a strong understanding of brand position, consumer market and understanding the impact of the campaigns that you are involved with
  • Working on new product development projects
  • Managing artwork within NPD and also for existing product ranges and branded merchandise
  • Being involved with Product queries on a and managing samples
  • Working with the Category team, involved with your own subcategory managing through initial review with continued involvement in how the brand is received, looking at areas of growth and presenting your ideas
  • Involved with consumer public relations, managing press releases and other similar communication
  • Being the communication champion internally for new product launches
  • Involved with supporting the Marketing budget and reporting on areas of costings
  • Working cross functionally with Sales and other areas of Marketing internally
  • Relationship building with Retailer accounts and attending meetings to discuss NPD launches
  • Working with the Digital Team internally in relation to social media content for your brand areas

What are we looking for as an Assistant Marketing Brand Manager:

  • You will be educated to Degree level within Marketing
  • Experience gained within generalist marketing communications, including social media
  • An understanding of Above The Line and Below The Line marketing and a keen interest in both areas.
  • If you have exposure to any design areas relating to packaging or any new product development exposure this would be a great advantage
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • You will really enjoy working as part of an effective and focused team, supporting the team within all areas of effective brand campaign management
  • Able to attend and proactively participate in meetings
  • Customer focused in all areas of your work and understanding the impact of the work that you do for the customer
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proactive, forward thinking and focused on developing your career within an environment where you will be constantly encouraged
