Description

This is a lovely Accounts and Administration role for our client in Morley, Leeds.  A small and growing business, our client work both Nationally and Internationally and is looking to recruit an Accounts and Administration Assistant to support the Office Manager.  This is a really varied and interesting role what will involve you in a variety of tasks to add to your skill set. We are looking for Candidates who have some accounts or finance experience and are keen to progress and develop.

Duties:

  • Working with Sales and Purchase ledgers in addition to other general accounts/finance tasks
  • Looking after the office petty cash and recording
  • Working via Sage and also via MS Office and Excel
  • Being a point of contact for suppliers to place orders and manage queries effectively
  • Liaising with Couriers to ensure orders are being progressed effectively and within time frames
  • Supporting with Imports and Exports and related tasks
  • Maintaining effective administration systems within the office and taking incoming phone calls
  • Supporting with wages and involved within any other areas of the business, to offer generalist support to the Office Manager

What we are looking for:

A capable "all rounder" with some experience of working within an Accounts or Finance role - not too much experience required but certainly a numerical candidate, with some exposure.  A real team player who will enjoy the variety naturally associated with this role.  In addition, you will have the following:

  • Some exposure to Accounts or Finance within a business is essential
  • Good administration experience
  • A flexible approach, with initiative and the desire to work on a range of tasks
  • Able to work to deadlines effectively
  • Confident communication skills to build effective relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders
  • A trustworthy individual who will enjoy the contribution they make to the team and wider business
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and any exposure to Sage would be an advantage
