Trainee Recruitment Consultant - Manchester!
Basic salary negotiable + Commission + Benefits!
The role of a Recruitment Consultant is extremely fast paced, demanding and very sales focused. Your product is people and selling people can be frustrating, but also extremely rewarding! No two days are literally the same, managing your own Candidate base and maintaining and developing a client base.
At Lucy Walker Recruitment, we believe that we provide an unrivalled service to our clients. That level of service can only be achieved by recruiting the right people. Our very well established Leeds office is looking to expand by recruiting a Trainee Consultant or Consultant. You will work within a small, effective team, working closely with the Manager in Leeds to fully understand the role of a Consultant. It maybe that you are a Graduate with some work experience looking for your first opportunity, or you may work within Sales or Administration currently and you are looking for a role which offers you a complete change. Or you may currently work within Recruitment and feel ready for a new environment. For us it is all about recruiting the right person to add to our existing successful team.
The role will involve you in the following areas

Business Development – This is a key part of the position, contacting lapsed and new clients via the telephone, to assess their recruitment needs. A tenacious approach is essential for this part of the role.

Client meetings – Meeting new and existing clients, to sell the services of Lucy Walker Recruitment. Understanding the company culture, talking through job descriptions and being investigative in your approach to fully understand what a client is looking for.

Interviewing Candidates – This is a large part of the role. Meeting Candidates, talking through their skills and experience and finding out what type of role they are looking for. Being very honest in the advice that you provide and being a key support throughout their job search.

Administration – You will handle your own administration on a daily basis. Maintaining information on our recruitment database, sending emails of confirmation.

CV writing – You will put together Candidate CV’s in the Lucy Walker Recruitment format. This requires excellent grammar and accuracy.
This is a challenging role and can be very hard work. It is also extremely rewarding and we can offer genuine development for the right person. We are looking for Candidates who can demonstrate the following qualities:

Self motivated and happy to work within a small team.

Highly organized with excellent communication skills.

Sales experience an advantage but not essential, the right person is more important to us.

A positive approach and a determination to succeed, not fazed by hearing a “no” on the phone and determined to start again the following day!
A desire to earn well and have a good work life balance. This job can be hard work and we want to ensure that you are rewarded for your efforts. We have an excellent commission structure in place to ensure your achievements will be recognized. We also believe that as a result of being focused and busy during the day, you will have little or no overtime within the role.
